Not your typical EDM artist, but more so rather the chillest of them all. Though other artists like Odesza, Jai Wolf, and Manila Killa (who was an opener for this show) do exist, San Holo has a special connection with his fans and interacts quite a lot with them, during shows, and online through social media. This show was meant to be played in the second quarter of 2020, but obviously, due to the pandemic, this was not possible, so the show was delayed for over a year until now in November.
The opening lineup of this show was also as it was originally supposed to be and that is actually a cool thing to have seen. The line-up in order had Rome In Silver, Chet Porter, Kasbo, Manila Killa, and obviously San Holo as the headliner. I’ve been going to a lot of shows recently and none of them have been as chill as this one. Kasbo and Chet Porter while being very different, and some of my favorite artists, keep similar vibes within their music. Manila Killa has a slightly more house-style vibe, while Kasbo produces more of a euphoric listening experience with a lot of softer-sounding synths. I think anyone who is appreciative of any style of music would’ve definitely loved this show.
San Holo is quite the man. Not in the way of a ruler of the lands, but more of a Saint Valentine style. He and Chet Porter as well, who was also on stage for some time, dropped down to the media pit and the railing to come and greet the fans during the show. San Holo also at the end of the show gave away one of his guitars to a fan which I didn’t realize he does at every show. Such a cool guy.

My personal experience altogether was really good. I know there weren’t a lot of people there to begin with because a large portion of people interested in EDM in the Bay Area were at day one of Audiotistic, so that only meant more open space on the floor, which is where I was, and I was able to stay with my group the entire time and have a great night.
